Egypt is world famous for its Pyramids with thousands of tourists travelling to Egypt each year specially to see them. It is highly recommended that you take a trip to see these while holidaying in Egypt, even if seeing them is not your main goal. Depending on where you are staying the time taken to get to the pyramids varies quite considerably. Once there, you can enjoy the scale of these ancient wonders and even take part in a guided tour inside them, an experience you are sure never to forget.
Egypt attracts a lot of Sunworshippers who flock to Egypt year after year, with its year-round warm climate it is the perfect sun holiday destination. It is not uncommon in the summer to have temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, although northern winds take the edge off the heat so it’s not unbearable. Egypt is home to some simply stunning beautiful white sandy beaches with warm clear waters. Some of the main tourist resorts in Egypt are El Gouna, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Egypt has much more to offer than just pyramids!
As well as the pyramids, Cairo is also right on the banks of the River Nile which is another major Egyptian tourist attraction. Cairo is one of Egypt’s largest cities and well worth visiting. The Nile is one of the longest and most fierce rivers in the world and the life blood of Egypt.
Another place worth visiting in Cairo would be to Khan El-Khalil. This town has been famous for shopping for many years and is a popular tourist attraction that should be experienced. You can even try your hand at haggling, if you do not want to pay too much for souvenirs you must master the art of haggling, it is not uncommon to get the price down by as much as 50-60% of the original price!
So, if you want to lie on a beach, cruise along the river Nile, ride a camel across the desert or see the pyramids, head to Egypt for the holiday of a lifetime.
